Not sure of the name, but scroll back, you’ll see lots of this format for butterfly mattes.
Had this all cropped and edited.. but don’t think I managed to post it. Fresh from its coccoon.
The Rice Paper is almost always co-operative in photos. I like the wings in profile and the light/dark balance.

Some great texture on the individual wing scales. There is so much detail on a butterfly, it always makes me want to capture more.
I like the placement of this Clipper Butterfly, just on the edge of light and shadow.
Great Mormon butterflies come in different wing pattern variations, caught some great detail on this one.
I pulled all the colour out of the background, just because I love the yellow on this butterfly.
